Summary report for S2I2-HEP/CS workshop at NCSA/UIUC available

The summary report is now available for the S2I2-HEP/CS Workshop which took place on 7-9 December, 2016 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).

The workshop was organised the S2I2-HEP Conceptualization project to bring together a diverse set of attendees from the particle physics and computer science (CS) communities to understand how the two communities could work together in the context of a future NSF Software Institute aimed at supporting particle physics research over the long term. Peter Elmer (Princeton), Mark Neubauer (U.Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), Mike Sokoloff (U.Cincinnati), Dan Katz (NCSA) and Doug Thain (Notre Dame) were the organising committee for the workshop.
